Our Goal

Malaysian Calculator is designed to make calculations easier to use and easier to understand. Some tools use stable formulas, while others depend on local rules, tables, contribution schedules or changing rates.

1. Formula-Based Calculators

BMI, compound interest, savings goals, loan repayments and affordability scenarios mainly use defined mathematical relationships between the values entered by the user. The formula may remain stable even when surrounding assumptions vary.

2. Rule-Aware Calculators

EPF / KWSP, SOCSO / PERKESO, EIS, PCB / MTD, income tax, stamp duty and RPGT depend on rules or schedules that may change. These calculators separate changing rule data from the interface so it can be reviewed and updated.

3. Source-Aware Information

Where relevant, we reference official, regulatory or authoritative public information. A reference does not make Malaysian Calculator an official source; authority remains with the relevant organisation or regulator.

4. Effective Dates and Versioned Rules

When a rule changes, the platform may keep separate versions rather than silently replacing historical logic. The applicable rule period or effective date should be shown close to changing information.

5. Estimates, Not Guarantees

Results may vary because of updated rules, assumptions, user input accuracy, product-specific variations, lender practices, employer treatment, personal circumstances, exemptions, thresholds or eligibility conditions.

6. Simple First, Details When Needed

Core fields appear first and additional complexity sits under Advanced Options or deeper result sections. This keeps tools accessible while allowing detailed exploration.

7. Educational Content Around the Result

A calculator page may include methodology, definitions, current rule context, planning tips, related calculators, FAQs and guides to help users understand the result.

8. Review and Corrections

Calculators are reviewed as formulas, rules and user needs change. Contact us if a result, rule, explanation or assumption may need review.
